This is an EXTREMELY RARE copy of the GRATEFUL DEAD 1972 European /London Tour program. Measures 8" x 11.5", 28 glossy black & white pages with solid black cover front & back. Titled "Book of the DEAD" on inside cover page, has names of. Designer, editor & photographers, printed in London.

At the bottom of this page it reads Book of the Dead first published Lyceum Ballroom 23d May 1972 at the first of four concerts presented by Jumpin' Jack... But the book remains timeless & free. Also stamped "The Grateful Dead England" with the Warner Brothers label in top right corner.

There is a full page containing all the members names & their instruments, & their "family" - all the crew members, management, secretaries & Sam Cutler, tour manager. There is are a few pages of band history with some photos, then a 2 page bio with photo of each member. Next is a narrative about their shows in London, Wembley. April 7 & 8, and concerts in Copenhagen, Hamburg, Cologne, Paris & the Bickershaw festival back in the UK which I attended! It ends with a page about their music, and the last page is a full page ad by Warner Brothers for Jerry Garcia's new album. In fairly good condition, considering the age, front & back cover are solid black, so do show wear & scratches. Front title page has age spots- see photos, but inside pages are clean with no damage. Jerry Garcia bio page has a little smudging. If you are true Grateful Deadhead or collector, you must realize this is a very unique piece of. There are not many of these around.
