ANTHEM PRINTS: LIMITED EDITION BY BILL WALKER. In 1968, Bill Walker created the iconic, psychedelic cover art for the Grateful Deads second album, Anthem of the Sun. Resembling a mandala and incorporating the likenesses of the band members heads, Bill Walkers Hindu-inspired cover painting for Anthem is, for many fans and the artist himself, indivisible from the sounds contained therein. Thirty years after Bill Walker conceived Anthem of the Sun's visionary artwork, he completed an expanded version of the painting and 350 ultra-high quality prints were meticulously made. These rare and iconic masterpieces are the last available prints in existence; the original plates have been destroyed.

Each limited-edition Anthem print will come with a certificate of authenticity signed by Bill Walker and a copy of his 33-page self-penned Anthem Guide. HOLY GRAIL OF LEGENDARY ANTHEM ALBUM ART. Finding a high quality print of the cover of Anthem of the Sun has been my Holy Grail of Grateful Dead imagery. I searched for years, trying to track down Bill Walker. I glanced at the screen and my jaw dropped - the sender was Bill Walker.

I made a pilgrimage out to Las Vegas to meet him and at the end of my delightful encounter with Bill Walker himself, I was able to obtain the last remaining copies of the limited-production, signed and numbered edition of Anthem! The prints are truly magnificent printed on archival paper, with brilliant colors and precise detail. ANTHEM PRINTS IN THE MAKING: ARCHIVAL QUALITY In October of 1999, Bill released a Serigraph (silkscreen) Edition of the finished Anthem painting. This was the first time the completed image had been reproduced in print.

67 individual screens were used. Vision was able to do a truly remarkable job of achieving the detail, color, depth and luminosity of the original painting. The finished print size is 38x38 inches. The image being 32 inches in diameter (the original painting is 34 inches). No unsigned or unnumbered impressions in the Edition are known to exist for commercial use.

No artist's or printer's proofs exists other than stated above. The 67 individual screens from which the Edition was made have been destroyed.

No prior states of the same impression exist, and no later Editions from the same screens were made.
