This Rare poster is 26" in Length and 40" wide. Condition: Also see pictures as part of condition description. The poster has obvious wear, wrinkles along edges, pin-holes, small rip marks in places where wrinkles occur (No significant rips or holes anywhere) and some small spots. The particular song from the poster was usually sung acapella by the Grateful Dead to close many of their concerts in the late sixties and the beginning of the seventies. It was again revived in 1989 through 1991.

A brief instrumental fragment was also played almost always right at the end of Goin' Down The Road Feeling Bad, usually as a transition to another song. The lyrics varied a bit from performance to performance. This is one of the fuller versions. Lay down my dear brothers, lay down and take your rest. Oh wont'cha lay your head upon your savior's breast.

I love you, oh but Jesus loves you the best. I love you, oh but Jesus love you the best. (1) this line sometimes appears in lyric collections as "I never would ride, I never would ride" but I think that's a mis-hearing of what Jerry sang rather than an alternate version. (2) Jerry misses out the second half of the couplet, which is something like "It was built on the land, got water to float". Side note: This is also an original Bohemian Funeral Song or a well known anthem wake song in the Bahamas, traditionally sung at the end of a wake.
