RARE Annie Leibovitz - Shooting Stars - Rolling Stone Hardcover Photography Book. It's unbelievably RARE to find this book in the hardcover edition, as it was only released to the public in soft cover paperback.
The hardcover copies were apparently printed in a limited run for a special few. This book features not only portraits of musicians, but also the photographers through personal quotes. The best rock and roll portraiture book I've seen, and so scarce. Photographers include Jeff Albertson, Ed Caraeff, Nevis Cameron, Michael Cooper, Henry Diltz, Michael Dobo, Barry Feinstein, David Gahr, Herb Greene, Elliott Landy, Annie Leibovitz, Jim Marshall, Jim McCrary, Stephen Paley, Ethan Russell, Bob Seidemann, Norman Seeff, Peter Simon, Guy Webster, Thomas Weir, and Baron Wolman. Not perfect, but no significant imperfections to note. Per my photos, there's one blank page that appears to have had a library label removed, so it's a bit damaged. This page is blank, and does not detract from the beauty of the book. The cover is discolored due to age and pre-ownership.
The binding appears a bit loose in the front section of the book, but not detached. The binding feels tight/intact for the majority of the book.
